I invented this remedy one day when I was frustrated with catching winter colds and being a naturalista, over the counter relief was not an option. So if you want to use something that is all natural and can be whipped up from simple groceries this magic elixir is just what you have been waiting for. This remedy is jam packed with vitamin C so be forewarned you will have an accelerated urge to “pay the water bill” and works best when taken at the very first sign of a cold.
32 ounces of spring water
1 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar (Raw is best)
1 tbsp. dried Rosemary
1 tbsp. dried Oregano
1 tbsp. dried Basil
2 cloves of garlic
1-2 teaspoons of cayenne pepper (if you don’t like spice you can use less)
2-3 tbsp. of honey (Raw is best)
1 lemon or lime (rind & all so wash if not organic)
Boil this concoction on medium heat for 5-10 mins.
Then reduce to low and let it simmer for 5-10 more mins or longer. The longer it simmers the stronger it will get.
Strain the elixir and drink 1 cup every 3-4 hours or until symptoms subside.
